According to estimates from the Canadian census bureau.
One million of them own a Wii, according to Escapist Magazine. And it's all because of hockey. An incredible market penetration for a gaming console.
Yet I personally find it odd. I bought my Wii from Popehat and Octopus Overlords forum member Austin, who found the Wii boring and found the games to be childish. I found it boring too, and agree about the games. I doubt that I've had the thing powered on for two hours in total. It competes with a dozen other electronic devices near the television for plug space, though I'm not sure what all of them are. Whatever they are, they're all more important to me than my Wii.
The odd thing is, Austin is Canadian and has young children. I hate hockey, am American, and have so far proven infertile.
What is your problem Austin, and what is the population of broken television sets in Canada?
