Note to Hillary Clinton: It's pronounced med-veyd'-yev, with the emphasis on the middle syllable. It's not Medved. It's not Medeva. It's certainly not pronounced "Whatever."
Video of Mrs. Clinton's performance at last night's debate has been featured on Russia Today, demonstrating that we're fortunate Day One is over ten months away.
Note to Barack Obama: You ain't too swift either. Your answer to Russert's request that you elaborate on Clinton's stumble amounted to "What she said." Only you may well both have been wrong. Dmitry Medvedev, in his rhetoric and on the campaign trail, is showing some signs of being more liberal than Vladimir Putin, and given that you hope to be working with or against him in less than a year, it's probably a bad idea to insult him. While demonstrating that you probably didn't know who he was before the question was asked. You were just winging it.
Oh well, at least they didn't insult the likely President of an important country, like Pakistan.
