Today's Edition of "What Scott Said"

Politics & Current Events

What would happen if the TSA encountered a severely mentally disabled man?

If you don't know the TSA — or if you have no heart — it might sound like the setup to a joke. It's not. It's every bit as loathsome and infuriating as you expect.

Hey, I see a lot of posts from you, Ken, but Patrick is notably absent. This leads to some concern. Without breaching anyone's privacy, can you just confirm for the readers that he's OK?

I like this, "What Scott said." You should make it a daily feature. With pictures. And good ones too, not ones that look like Scott.

As the father of a special needs child, this story enrages me. Both the TSA's actions and the father rolling over for the government stooges.

I recently read a book called "The Speed of Dark" by Elizabeth Moon, in which the protagonist is autistic in a future where some genetic forms of autism have been cured, but only after it was too late for him. One of the scenes involve a trip through airport security and it stuck out in my mind.

Yes, I would also like to know that Patrick is not gone for good. Not that there's anything lacking in Ken's posts. ;-)

As to the matter at hand: I'm too angry and sad over Scott's post to make any comment that wouldn't wind up being sucked into the gaping maw of the NSA.
