Fortunately, Polanski will be wearing an electronic ankle monitor as he rots under Chalet arrest.  He'd never dare flee to France under such strict security.

    I have this strange idea they're going to find this guy hanging from a rafter in his chalet. Then we'll have to endure weeks of conspiracy theories to the effect that he bribed some people to replace him with a murdered body double while he will then be living in Thailand.

    The smart money is that he'll soon be back in France, obviously. The only real question is how much he'll have to leave behind in Switzerland, what with the bond and chalet and all.
