Yes, tits, which are what, 90% fat? This woman has the tits of a 12-year-old boy. That's something that I don't get: how these two contradictory "truths" can hold sway in a person's mind at the same time--I need to be super skinny, and I need to have big bosoms. That doesn't happen in nature, you know. I would bet good money that if you took a poll of American men (and could get honest answers), far more would prefer a woman who looks like, say, Kelly Clarkson or Queen Latifah, than one who looks like this ghoul. But then, the fashion industry doesn't really cater to the heterosexual American male, now does it?

Wow. – I assume it says something about how pervasive these images are when my first thought went like: "So, what's wrong with her? That's what pretty looks like." Even though I'm officially in recovery from AN/BN, I find it so hard not to think that she's everything I ought to be. Especially on a day like this. ('Beauty is who we are, not what we look like' quite often has a ring as hollow as this girl's cheeks. A lot of women have told me that tits sometimes get you further than wits – and it is discouraging that so often they're proven right.) So, yes, if I ever (and hopefully it'll never happen) get skinny enough to fit my hips into jeans that would be a rather snug fit on an average ten-year-old, I will so boycott Ralph Lauren. Promise.
