If It's Any Comfort, I Wrote Off The Foreplay and Gave You a 10% Courtesy Discount on the Cuddling

Law, WTF?

Via the inimitable Lowering the Bar, a story of an English lawyer accused of billing for time he spent screwing a client. I mean, for real.

The payoff is the client's name, which I shall not spoil for you. It will, however, play hell with our search engine hits.

So, is the article saying that it is legal for a lawyer to charge a client for providing sexual favors yet it is not okay for a prostitute to charge a consenting adult? I fail to see the difference here. Geez…me thinks being a lawyer in London if you are young and good looking might be a really lucrative profession.

Well, I assume they have the equivalent of a bar membership required to practice law, so it's not as big a loophole as it might otherwise be.
