That's because Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the United Kingdom is doing his best to show that Atlee and Major were hardly the worst insubstantial non-entities to follow a great Prime Minister.  As for Blair, Brown is doing his utmost to make Blair look more like a Churchill or a Gladstone with every passing day.

How far has the Labour Party, which under Brown has endowed the British Empire with the worst traits of a nanny state, a police state, and a banana republic, fallen?

In yesterday's elections, Labour was defeated by a challenger so obscure it doesn't merit the term 5th party.  In a Labour stronghold.  In Cambridge as a matter of fact.

Where Labour's slate of candidates was beaten by the Official Monster Raving Loony Party.

Congratulations to "Lord Toby Jug", the OMRLP's standard bearer.  Despite a narrow overall loss to the Conservative Party, Lord Jug has demonstrated that he is more qualified than Gordon Brown to lead Her Majesty's Government.
