On the 14th day of April of 1935,
There struck the worst of dust storms that ever filled the sky.
You could see that dust storm comin', the cloud looked deathlike black,
And through our mighty nation, it left a dreadful track.
We've probably all been affected by the dismal economy, which is being compared to a new Great Depression by journalists if not economists. If we haven't been hit, we know someone who has. But are we being selfish, in our single-minded concern for our families, our friends, our jobs? Have we considered the true victims of the the great disaster now befalling our nation?
Jon Swift, a reasonable conservative who likes to write about politics and culture and the latest addition to our shrinking blogroll, has a reminder that no matter how we think we suffer, others have it worse.
