I have to say I am still struck by the vitriol of the speeches last night. I was also genuinely shocked that someone let Huckabee actually say the "European ideas" line. I sure hope that gets brought up when foreign affairs are being discussed. Oh, and I am still a little bemused at the naked blatant pandering to Hillary voters. Otherwise, I doubt they’d be so ready to jump on it. Either that, or they know that their BASE has no idea what a community organizer does. Actually, I wondered last night if there weren't two teams of people doing crowd shots. Because they did show some pretty young girls ... and also some really scary people. One guy looked like a HItler Youth - short, blond hair, fixed gaze of adoration, chanting. Another middle-aged guy with a belly dressed up in a sort of ... well I don't know what it was. But I would have walked a wide circle around him were we to pass on the street. I wonder if the RNC hasn't infiltrated into the media corps ...
