The necessary condition is accepting the relatively recent (1870) doctine of infallibility and whether Pope Paul VI&#039;s Humanae Vitae was vested with that authority after his rejection of the 1966 commission on birth control. While the doctrine has been ratified by Rome, a strict catholic well-educated in church history should be able to accept dissent on abortion.</description>
