Nancy Pelosi Will Go To Hell If She Keeps Mangling Catholic Doctrine

Politics & Current Events

But that isn’t punishment enough for nine Republican House members.  They’ve published an open letter to Pelosi, demanding that she apologize to the nation’s Catholics, so aggrieved are they by Pelosi’s theological errors.

I wonder if those who condemn Pelosi considered Matthew 7:5 and Luke 18:9-14 in framing their letter.

While Rome may have added abortion to the catechism, it’s not necessarily correct. The necessary condition is accepting the relatively recent (1870) doctine of infallibility and whether Pope Paul VI’s Humanae Vitae was vested with that authority after his rejection of the 1966 commission on birth control. While the doctrine has been ratified by Rome, a strict catholic well-educated in church history should be able to accept dissent on abortion.
