What could these letters possibly do? Scare people who are ready to be assholes from being assholes? There's little I hate more than liberal activism. It is usually so misguided and fruitless. It usually has no empowering aspects for the communities it claims to represent, but it sure does make the activists feel good! Even when the tactic fails miserably. At least with us leftists, when our tactics fail miserably, we know it and are used to failure. I don't think I could call this, or Obama's politics, progressive, however. It seems totally reactive (even if it is being done before something "bad" happens). That's… ugly. What could these letters possibly do? There's little I hate more than liberal activism. It is usually so misguided and fruitless.
