Yet the words, attributed to Mayor Daley, "He described America as a country of gun-lovers who export their weaponry to neighboring countries like Canada and Mexico, spreading violence to relatively peaceful areas." have magically disappeared from the story.
I'm not the only one to have noticed this.
Did the Tribune mischaracterize Daley's remarks? If so, it owes him an apology. Or did it cave to complaints from the mayor's office?
If so, it owes you an apology.
