Quite possibly the only problem that Bill Gates and I have in common

Geekery, Technology

is that neither of us can accomplish anything, much less navigate, through Microsoft’s abysmally designed website.

I am quite disappointed at how Windows Usability has been going backwards and the program management groups don’t drive usability issues.

Let me give you my experience from yesterday…

And what an experience it was. In fact, it was just like every other visitor’s attempt to get information or download software from the second most confusing site on the web. Gates’s email as a whole is nine kinds of awesome, on schadenfreude alone.

As some wise man said, read the whole thing.

He ought to sign up for an MSDN subscription and see if he can get any product keys right now. BECAUSE I SURE AS SHIT CAN’T AND IT’S IMPACTING MY PRODUCTIVITY.

That was fantastic. Shame to see they apparently didn’t read it.

I think it’s a shame that with all Bill Gates has done for Microsoft over the years, he still apparently lacks the clout to just get one of the tech guys to comp him a free copy of the Digital Plus pack and maybe burn it and Movie Maker onto a DVD for him.
