Oh, awesome! This is based on the Sookie Stackhouse books. They're not good, exactly, but they're way, way better than you would expect books about "southern waitress dates vampires and solves mysteries would be". Bad Demographic recommended/loaned them to us and Ann and I have gone through the first five or six already. It's definitely filmable stuff and is most definitely non-pretentious.

It was created by the same guy that did Six Feet Under, but the delay in release suggests to me that something isn't right. I've found the HBO dramas to be very hit or miss. I guess we'll see.
