New Zealand prosecutors have dropped a charge of assault with a weapon, and a possible five year prison sentence, against William Singalargh, accused of attacking a boy with a “spine covered hedgehog, a small prickly-backed animal similar to the porcupine,” on grounds that a hedgehog is not a weapon.

I’m at a loss for a punchline on this. Just thought I’d pass it on.
