Foreign Trade Benefits The Law

A proposal to the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other nations whose legal systems descend from British common law: Give us your loser-pays rules and other deterrents aimed at those who file frivolous lawsuits. In return, we shall give you the doctrine known as "fair comment."

Everyone will win. You won't have to read about our outrageous personal injury and negligence claims, and we won't have to read about defamation suits in which an actress who has 47 IMDB entries and an Oscar nomination claims she was libeled, in part, by being called a "movie star."

    Judy Davis is just another baby booming NIMBY who tried to use her status to get her own way and push to the front of the queue.

    The Daily Terror called bullshit on her and now she is throwing a hissy fit.

    She reminds me of Peter Cook playing Greta Garbo driving down the street in tank, standing up and shouting into a megaphone "I just want to be left alone!"
