I've been working on some posts about the much-vaunted "open dialogue about race", and how it's resulted in a nasty torrent of racism and ridiculous viewpoints (I'm working on a discussion of the increasingly popular "why don't black folks thank us for how slavery lifted them up?", but it's hard to get beyond the gaping-in-disbelief stage. Such posts are slow, and serious, and generally depressing, and will take me a while longer.
But humor is rooted in the recognition of human frailty, so it's no surprise that some wicked good satire has come out of the whole thing. So for now, let me share with you Sadly, No's imagined debate on race between Mister T and Ryan Seacrest. You can also watch it in animated form.
