Appropriate Middle Names for Great Americans

Politics & Current Events

A recent encounter with a spamming attorney in our comments section dismayed me because she insists referring to Senator Barack Obama by his middle name of Hussein.  There, I did it too.   It is  his middle name, and there's nothing wrong with  it, but  no one uses  it  because  he  likes the ring of "Hussein."  They use it to imply that he's a terrorist-loving soft-on-Ba'athism fifth columnist Manchurian Candidate for radical Islam.  And so it occurred to me, in a parallel world, where middle names reflected their owners' traits and flaws, what would Obama's middle name be?

It would be "Sunshine."

John McCain's middle name would be "Queeg."

Hillary Clinton's middle name would be "Evita."

Richard Nixon's middle name would have been "Milhous."

And so on and so forth.

I thought that you agreed that he was a terrorist-loving soft-on-Ba’athism fifth columnist Manchurian Candidate for radical Islam?!? ;)

I like Obama, as you know from other correspondence. I do worry about certain inclinations as discussed elsewhere, and I find the recent news of his doubletalk on NAFTA (where I agree with his private position, not his public one) disturbing.

What I hate about Obama is his cult. I actually felt, astonishingly, sorrow for Hillary briefly last night while discussing politics with other lawyers in some den of sin. This campaign has proven to be a Faustian bargain for her, as everything she was promised from her deal with the devil (her husband) has been taken away from her.

I did get over the sorrow, about ten minutes later.
