By the way, I didn’t mean to imply that enemies lists are an exclusively liberal phenomenon. There are plenty of rightie enemies lists as well. Horowitz is a big booster of such things.

With the exception of that small set of enemies lists that are both intended to be satirical and actually funny (a regrettably small percentage; a few of P.J. O’Rourke’s qualify), most enemies lists seem to reveal the sad little bundle of neuroses burdening the writer.
