I got a chance to play a little 2 player mode in Super Mario Galaxy this weekend, and I thought it was a lot of fun. In fact, I bet it would be a great way to get a kid to play along. The 2nd player can collect all the stars, but they can also add height to Mario's jumps and use their remote to freeze enemies.

By the way, Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games I have ever played. I am really enjoying it!

As for other Wii cooperative games, Bill Harris talked some about playing the Avatar game with Eli, but it seemed like that was mainly fun because they liked the show. The Wii puzzle game (Zack & Winki or something like that..) has a neat 2 player mode, where you can help the other person solve the puzzles.

Still, for more than one player, the Wii party games are the way to go. Warioware and Mario Party are both a blast (in fact, Mario Party will be a big part of Thanksgiving this year!) and the Mario & Sonic game looks like a lot of fun as well.

I'm not sure if Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga has same console co-op.

Mario Galaxy can be played co-op, though it's not THAT great of a mode (the 2nd player gets a pointer he/she can wiggle around to collect stars and shoot them. yeeha).

Hilarious. I do play board games with the mother in law, but can't imagine doing a video game.

Apparently we are getting the Wii for Christmas. Any hints on a game we can play cooperatively? The wife isn't into shooter-type stuff.
